Three shapes. A return to first principles.
The circle, the square, and the triangle are the first forms we learn. The fundamentals. This lamp began as a return to those essentials, to the quiet pleasure of exploring technique without knowing exactly where it will lead.
Three forms anchor the work. These are the building blocks that precede concept, the grammar of visual form itself. By starting here, I permitted myself to let go of outcome and sink into process: the weight of a material, the logic of a join, the way light changes everything.
For Nicole, this work is as much about the making as the made.
